Why? has already been addressed in God's Word-The Bible. The Bible means THE BOOK. Not just a book or one of many books but   THE BOOK.

When we look into this book we read that,:

"You are worthy O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for you have created all things, and for your pleasure they are and were created." Rev4:11

There are many skeptical people today that would tell you this pleasure God received from his creation, is the power to rule and Lord over everything. One such misconception is generated by the popular scholar, Zecharia Sitchin who holds credentials in Archeology, Physics and Biblical Hebrew. He claims that man was created by God to mine this planet. Referring to the plural form of God's name, Elohim, (which describes the triune nature of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit) he claims that this is actually meaning a group of extra-terrestrials. As absurd as it may sound to some, this idea is gaining acceptance from the intellectuals around the world. His deciphering of an ancient Sumarian cuneiform revealed the icy conditions of Uranus and Neptune long before the Voyager flyby which served to confirm his claim. Upon this discovery, Sitchin is not taken lightly by those who are informed.

In contrast to these thoughts, again let's go back to THE BOOK for some answers. Jesus is described as the,

"Word made flesh" and the "image of the invisible God." (John 1:1 and 14, Col 1:15)

When Jesus walked on earth he displayed and taught the mind and desires of God the Father. He revealed just what this "good pleasure" was that God received from his creation of man.

"For it is your Father's good pleasure to GIVE YOU the KINGDOM." Luke 12:32

According then to Jesus, the good pleasure of the Father is to give us his Kingdom? This is what the Apostle Paul understood Jesus to mean as he later wrote,

"...and if children (of God) then heirs; heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ." Rom 8:17

Paul understood that our eternal promise was to be given a position for all of eternity as a child to a Father within a family! To be a ruling part of creation! A joint heir with Christ! And what was Christ's inheritance?

"all power is given to me in heaven and in earth." Matt28:18

That same position is to be shared and offered to us! Jesus told the Apostle John addressing his entire church, (body of believers) that,

"To him that overcomes (this present world system) will I grant to SIT WITH ME IN MY THRONE, even as I have overcome and am sat down with my Father in his throne,"

Right from THE BOOK you have it: God desires a personal relationship with his creation. You still might ask why is that God's pleasure?

Imagine from his perspective if you will: Let's say you had all power over everyone and everything. All of creation adored you and loved you. Sounds good for awhile but something would be missing because everything automatically loves you because you created them that way. How much richer, how much more meaningful of a relationship would you have if the creation choose to be with you because they wanted to, because they recognized your goodness and responded to your LOVE!  Dwelling in this Love, with their perfect created condition as eternal beings with access to everything is taken for granted as they never knew anything else. Like a wealthy child that never knew he was rich as he never knew poverty sickness or anything but being full. A higher level of a relationship could exist if they understood something less than perfection in contrast to what they already have.

A plan would have to be developed. The opposite would need to be created or at least the potential for the opposite would need to be created. - EVIL. (Isaiah 45:7) A creation for the first time would be given a choice. Knowing ahead of time that they would make the wrong decision, the only fair way out is to personally redeem the whole situation. In doing this, a way is made back to have a deeper personal relationship with your creation based upon your own act and effort not theirs. All they would have to do is respond to your LOVE! This after all would be the only fair way to do it!

My dear friend that is just what happened and that is WHY!

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16.

It has been said that within the heart of every person there lies a God shaped void that only he can fill. We try to fill it with other things but it never gives the rest and peace of mind that comes with a relationship with our creator. God also has a you shaped void in his heart of creation that only you can fill!!!

Now that is not in the sense that God is lacking anything. The fact that God is so full and complete within himself, he desires to share himself and all he has with you in a more meaningful way!

You are so special to him only you can fill this piece of his family. He is not a religion, formula or impersonal force. He is the creator and yet person that desires you to be one of his children and enter into his eternal Joy with full awareness as a child becomes an adult into his kingdom.

"For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known." 1 Cor 13:12

That is how and why Jesus is the only way and redeemer. It was he who came down and paid the price. His act alone completed your way back to him. Right now all you have to do is respond to his Love. It is only one prayer away.

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.: Rom 10:13

Jesus said,

"Behold I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come and eat with him and he with me."

Right now in a prayer as an unconditional surrender to your creator you can receive him into your heart. Just pray:

Jesus, I understand you paid the price and I ask you to forgive me of my sins, come into my life and be my Lord. Help me to live for you. Thank you for saving me. Amen

He has a plan for your life both in the here and now as well as for all eternity. If you have made this first step toward God please let us help you further.
